Costume for the title role in “Antony and Cleopatra” by W. Shakespeare.
Bodice of smooth fabric fitted with tucks, with small sleeves and high oval neckline. Decorated with sequins and beads and at the top with exotic motifs forming the shape of an Egyptian necklace. Bottom of the bodice forms a tip.
Skirt fitted in hips, extending downwards, with a small train. The mermaid effect is obtained by entwining the upper part with a band with peacock feathers and bird motifs. Row of peacock feathers is sewn at the bottom.
On the head cap in the shape of a bird (originally a vulture, here possibly a peacock) modeled after the Egyptian queen's headgear. Bird's head is placed at the top of the head, wings of golden plaques or sequins are flowing down along ears. Peacock feathers are sticking out from the back of this headgear.
